Key model launches at the New York Motor Show

New York Motor Show 2014

Each and every year, the New York Motor Show becomes centre stage for the automotive world. Last year, Land Rover stole the show with the latest Range Rover Sport and this year they seem to have done it again.

This year the British based firm have taken the latest in the developments of the Discovery range. Just over 12 months the firm announced that they would be making a number of changes to the Discovery and Freelander ranges with the latter becoming a part of the Discovery range.

At the New York Motor Show today the model wowed audiences as it showed off the latest technology in the form of the new smart screen tech which allows the driver to see direct terrain below the vehicle and passengers to pick and choose the level of dim on both the windows and the panoramic roof.

BMW Vs Audi at the New York Motor Show

The BMW M4 convertible was the next best model at the New York Motor Show, as the sheer quality and design of the model shone through. The model is of course based on the new M4 Coupe that is due to go on sale and the convertible model is due to join the standard Coupe in September for a price close to £60,000.

The BMW X4 lined up not too distant from the M4 model and again confirmed the German mass markets hopes of causing a stir in the SUV market. The new X4 model at BMW is ready to make major waves and hopefully disrupt the ride that Audi is having in the market.

The likes of the Audi Q5 and other Audi Q badged models have assisted the brand in overtaking them in the luxury brand rankings. BMW have been top of the charts for a number of consecutive years and for the first three months of the year, Audi has overtaking the brand.
